All available student funding provided through the CARES (HEERF I), CRRSAA (HEERF II), & ART (HEERF III) has been distributed to date.  These funds were distributed by a grant through the US Department of Education after TROY signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement.  TROY assures that the applicable amount of funds designated under the CARES, CRRSAA, and ARP programs have been used to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.

HEERF I

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF I) bill was passed by Congress and signed by the President in 2020 to give awards to students who had COVID-19 expenses. These specific funds were given to ÂÌñÉç through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).

In order for a student to be eligible for these funds, the student had to have filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2019-2020 academic year and showed eligibility to receive federal student aid. Students who did not file the FAFSA and/or were strictly online students were not eligible for CARES funds.  All
