The Department of Economics, Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, Marketing & Entrepreneurship is dedicated to providing students with the theoretical foundation, technical training, and practical experience to be successful in the professional world.
Economics
Our unique undergraduate degree provides students with the opportunity to pursue either
an economics major supplemented with practical coursework in finance or a traditional
economics major which includes a firm theoretical foundation in economics.
Training in Economics and Finance prepares students for a variety of career options鈥攔ecent
graduates from 绿帽社's undergraduate programs in economics and finance have gone on
to pursue careers in areas such as banking, financial services, and compliance, as
well as graduate school at both the Master's and Ph.D. level. While studying at 绿帽社,
students in the economics and finance program have been able to pursue internships
in areas such as banking, economic analysis, and public policy.
Finance
Financial Economics allows students to explore how financial systems, markets, and
decisions shape the global economy. Our programs are designed to develop analytical
thinkers and strategic problem-solvers who can understand, interpret, and influence
the financial forces that impact organizations, governments, and individuals. With
faculty specializing in fields like investment analysis, corporate finance, risk management,
and financial modeling, our curriculum equips you with the theoretical foundations
and quantitative tools necessary for success in a wide range of finance-related careers. Students
learn how financial decisions are made, how capital is allocated, and how risk is
measured and managed.
Graduates in Financial Economics find careers in finance services, banking, regulatory
agencies, investment banking, financial advising, and corporate finance. Student pursing
graduate education have been accepted in multiple masters' and doctoral programs.

Marketing
Marketing offers students an academically rigorous and intellectually engaging environment
to explore how marketing shapes the way businesses connect with consumers, cultures,
and global markets. Whether you're interested in understanding what drives consumer
decisions, learning how to build strong brands, or analyzing data to guide strategy,
our programs are designed to help you think critically and act strategically. Our
curriculum blends core marketing theory with cutting-edge topics such as digital marketing,
market analytics, and sustainable marketing practices. Courses emphasize real-world
application, research-based learning, and interdisciplinary perspectives that prepare
students for both advanced study and professional success.
Marketing allows students to focus on aspects of the field, so students find careers
in sales, supply-chain management, logistics, advertising, promotions, brand management.
Opportunities for advanced education also exist for many of these fields.
Entrepreneurship
To be an entrepreneur, you must be passionate about starting your own company, innovating within existing organizations,
or addressing challenges of the world through enterprise. Within the entrepreneurship program, students engage with entrepreneurial strategy, venture finance, innovation management,
and business model design, while gaining insight into the broader contexts of entrepreneurship. Rooted in research, our program empowers students to think critically about opportunity
recognition, value creation, and the strategic challenges of launching and growing
businesses in a global economy.
